Fig and Ginger truffles

These are great for the Christmas period , gluten free, dairy free no added sugars and great for kids or adults.
Can be given to kids in their lunch boxes ect.

18 fresh dates or 450 gms
1/4 cup cut dried or glacé Figs
1/4 cup  cut dried ginger or glacé ginger
1 dessert spoon of  Cacao powder
1/2teaspoon cardamon spice
1/2teaspoon cinnamon
1/4cup coconut oil
1/4cup of shredded coconut

Take out all the pips from the dates and chop the dried fruits lightly.

#Put all ingredients into blender or food processor

Tip: Follow the directions given with your machine when it comes to combining dried fruits if you need to adjust speed levels. I start on low and build up to high, sometimes  I have stop it and mix the ingredients around a bit.
#combine till all it starts to form a paste like consistency.

Spoon out into small balls , roll onto extra Cacao powder and store in the fridge till ready to use.

Yummy raw food treat for anyone.

Keep for up-to one month.
